In order to play your music live you need to connect a plugin to winamp. Thanks to this plugin, you are connected with a server and as long as you play your favourte songs, your friends as well as any internet user in general can listen to your broadcasting.
"How can one set this "server account" up?"
When you are buying a streaming account, you are also receiving an access code to your WHMSonic Shoutcast Admin Pro. From there, you can change some options of your online radio. For example, by pressing the "Auto DJ" button, you can setup some song chaning effects when a song is ending, like for example fade in / fade out.
For example, if you want to set a song or a sound as an intro when you start your radio show, again, from the same panel, you have this option available!
"Ok, but... how can other potential listeners find my online radio station?"
Of course it is necessary to "advertise" your online radio somewhere/anywhere. You can for example publicize it through your blog, in a website or some online radio stations website!
WHMSonic offers you the integration code ready, along with several Players that will appear in your website. For example a page with relative links will appear, visitors will click on the available "play button" and they will be listening to your show.
"What software will my listeners need in order to listen to my radio show?"

Live Listen Script + Template
An easy-to-use PHP script of WHMSonic with excellent graphic designs, which also supports all available players. Set the parameters of all players from config_radio.php. You can also download this script from the WHMSonic Tools in cPanel and upload it in your website or anywhere else on the web.

You can have a small flash player available through which the visitor will again press the play button, without having the need to install another program (like Winamp for example).

Online Status & Statistics
WHMSonic LiveListen script shows you your online radio's status as well as statistics, what is currently playing, current DJ, which song/band is playing as well as other useful information for your listeners. It also displays if your radio is online or offline.
At any time, you can also view how many listeners are listening to your show.
